On a hill between Sorgues and Châteauneuf du Pape stands out the imposing mass of the Château des Fines Roches, with its turrets suspended from battlements and battlements, its mullioned windows. This astonishing ensemble, combining the feudal style with that of the Renaissance, sprang from the ground at the end of the 19th century.

Located in the heart of the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation, the Château des Fines Roches, owned by the MOUSSET family for five generations, welcomes you, dominating the Rhône valley, offering you a breathtaking view of Mont-Ventoux and the Comtat Venaissin, the Lubéron, the Alpilles, the Palais des Papes and the village of Châteauneuf du Pape.

"The king of wines, the wine of kings"

Currently covering an area of forty-five hectares, the vineyard of Château des Fines Roches, mainly planted with Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Muscardin and Mourvèdre, offers a full-bodied, warm, very fine, very balanced Châteauneuf du Pape red, which Frédéric Mistral had defined it as follows: “Le Fines Roches, Le Roi des Vins, le Vin des Rois”. Alphonse Daudet said: “Oh the wine of the Popes, the golden wine, the royal, imperial wine, we drank it at Les Fines Roches while singing verses from the Mistral”. These two quotes also appear on an old advertisement for the "Grand Vin du Château des Fines Roches in Châteauneuf du Pape, Vaucluse". Château des Fines Roches is also a white Châteauneuf, made from Grenache blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Roussanne, fresh, floral, fruity, mineral and perfectly structured.

Cellar and hotel

Today, faithful to its reputation as a place of meeting and conviviality, the Château des Fines Roches houses a charming hotel and a gourmet restaurant in the former living area, and the Domaines Mousset vault in part of the former cellars.
